About Heidi

Meet Heidi Horath

Hi, I’m Heidi, human first.

I’m a heart-centered, Christ-centered, trauma-informed practitioner, and founder of Yoga Life Health. My work is rooted in presence, compassion, and creating safe spaces for healing, especially for those who have spent a lifetime feeling unsafe in their own bodies.

For over 20 years, I worked as a veterinary technician, deeply connected to animals and the unconditional love they offer. But it wasn’t until 2012, after years of depression, anxiety, and people-pleasing, that I began my personal healing journey. Through yoga, breathwork, and nervous system regulation, I slowly returned home to myself.

Now, I hold space for others to do the same, with gentleness and grace.

Experience

In My World

I teach yoga at The Zen Den in Gilbert, offer private sessions online and in person, and regularly create content for Change by Fire. You might also find me leading “Wellness Wednesdays” with co-workers, spending time in nature, or sipping coffee with my fiancé, Mark, and our beloved pets Odin and Rose.

I believe in laughter, in unicorns, in Christ’s love, and in creating healing spaces where we’re allowed to be both wild and peaceful. All of you is welcome here.

Oh my gosh this was SUCH an amazing moving experience, Heidi! You did a phenomenal job (as expected) and it touched my heart in so many ways. I truly feel the healing within my heart and I am so excited for my future and letting go of all of those things today was so exhilarating. I am free. I am loved. I am whole. I am supported. I am safe. I am that I am. THANK YOU! This experience was worth more than I could ever express. I love you girls so much and am incredibly grateful for this life for you all of you and your lives. Thank you for your love and tenderness. I am better because of each one of you.

FAQs

Answer Of Some Yoga Questions

How do you start yoga practice?

Begin with simple poses and gradually increase intensity as your body adjusts. It’s important to listen to your body and progress at your own pace.

What equipment do I need for yoga?

A yoga mat is essential, and props like blocks and straps can help enhance your practice. Comfortable clothing is also important to allow for full movement.

When can I practice yoga after eating?

It's best to wait at least 1-2 hours after eating before practicing yoga. This helps prevent discomfort during your poses.

What if I feel stuck with my practice?

Feeling stuck is natural. Consider exploring different types of classes, consulting with a yoga instructor, or incorporating mindfulness practices to deepen your experience.

What's the difference between yoga and meditation?

Yoga focuses on physical postures and breath control to enhance overall well-being, while meditation is primarily a mental practice that fosters mindfulness, relaxation, and clarity.

What are the benefits of a regular yoga practice?

A consistent yoga practice improves flexibility, strengthens the body, reduces stress, enhances mental clarity, and promotes overall well-being, both physically and emotionally.
